Unforgettable food experience in my journey.
As an avid nature enthusiast, Tuticorin was the perfect destination for me. The highlight of my trip was visiting the Kalakkad Wildlife Sanctuary, where I had the opportunity to see tigers, leopards, elephants, and peafowls up close, making it an unforgettable experience.
The beaches in Tuticorin, including Pearl City Beach, Manapad Beach, and Kanyakumari Beach, were also ideal for both relaxation and adventure, and I found myself spending countless hours soaking up the sun and swimming in the clear blue waters.
However, as I was driving home along Melur Highway NH38, my hunger pangs grew increasingly insistent, and I began to long for something delicious to eat.
Just as I was about to give up hope, I caught sight of a roadside restaurant called Orappu, located in Melur bye-pass road. I couldn’t believe my luck and immediately pulled over to indulge my appetite.
When my food arrived, I was completely blown away by the incredible burst of flavours that hit my taste buds.
The dish was cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of spices that I had never tasted before. Every single bite was a mouthwatering delight, and I couldn’t resist licking my fingers clean.
After finishing my meal, I had a chance to chat with the friendly staff and learn more about the restaurant’s history.
I discovered that Orappu was known for its mouthwatering local specialties, including Uppu Kari and Avvaiyakari, and I was eager to try at least one of them.
So, I took their advice and ordered the famous Uppu Kari, and I was not disappointed. This non-vegetarian dish was unlike anything I had ever tasted before — it was incredibly flavorful and satisfying.
The friendly staff guided me to a cozy table, and I savored the perfect blend of local spices and flavors, feeling utterly content and satisfied. Overall, my experience at Orappu Restaurant was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling through Melur.
